Transload Crude Facility
North Dakota, USA
Summary
Matix team members provided engineering services to design numerous supports and equipment foundations at a 330 acre-18 car transload crude terminal along the Bakkenlink Pipeline. Thousands of feet of hot crude piping, both buried and elevated, between two 155,000 bbl tanks, a pumphouse, and loading bays were supported by structures designed by our professionals.
Our engineers used conventional supports and piperacks resting on deep foundations to prevent movement from swelling clays.
Close coordination with other disciplines and support during construction was essential at this environmentally critical facility.
