Summary
Matix provided engineering services for the complete replacement of thousands of feet of natural gas lines at a carbon fiber plant in Salt Lake City, UT. Our work included an evaluation of gas usage at each facility and the expansion potential for adding additional equipment. Engineers worked closely with plant operations and modeled the network of lines using HYSYS software to ensure sufficient gas would be supplied at each branch to serve critical equipment.
Matix supported the owner through construction and worked closely with the contractor to ensure proper installation and commissioning of the new system.
