Coal Truck Dump

Utah, USA
Summary

Our professionals provided comprehensive engineering services on a coal truck dump for the operator of a large thermal power plant. A steel girder bridge capable of supporting two 80-ton trucks with belly dump trailers was designed over an existing hopper to allow for adequate supply of coal to fuel the power plant. This critical project was coordinated with the plant operators and installed within a short window to allow continued operation of the plant.

Design of ancillary infrastructure such as a truck scale, traffic routes, signs and signals, dry fog dust suppression system, and related equipment were included as part of this project.
